I want to cover some updates about exam pages for Azure certifications in this post. To share two important updates since my previous post about making the most out of certification pages for Azure exams.
Skills measured for exams changing this month
First update is very important for anybody who is currently studying for a Microsoft role-based certification. Because the skills measured for a lot of exams are changing this month.
For example, as you can see below the skills measured for the AZ-400 exam that I covered in a DevOps certifications post changed on February 2.
In addition, changes to skills measured for various other exams are happening this month as well.
For example, the skills measured for the DP-500 exam are changing on February 6. Which I can fully understand considering the number of recent updates for Microsoft Purview, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI.
With this in mind, I recommend that anybody who is currently studying for an Azure certification looks at the exam page again for recent announcements.
They tend to appear in a box towards the top of the exam page which is titled ‘Important’. Majority of people will see this as a blue box within the exam page.
Tip boxes appearing in exam pages for Azure certifications
Second update is about something that has changed in the exam pages since my previous post about making the most out of certification pages for Azure exams. Since that post was release Microsoft have started introducing a new tip box towards the top of the exam pages.
For example, if you look towards the top of the DP-500 exam page, you can now see the below tip box. Which the majority of people will see as a green box.
You can download these study guides as a pdf to help you. For example, the first page of the DP-500 study guide contains useful links to various resources.
You can find out more about the DP-500 exam in a post I wrote about recommended Azure Synapse Analytics certifications.
Final words
I hope my two updates about exam pages for Azure certifications help some of you. Because I wanted to raise awareness about both of them.
Especially for those who you who are currently studying for exams.
Of course, if you have any comments or queries about this post feel free to reach out to me.
[…] However, a fair few exams have been updated since this post was first published. You can read more about the changes to these exams in a more recent post about updates about exam pages for Azure certifications. […]
